All About Me!
I was born in Chicago and moved to Bloomington when I was a sophomore in high school. I attended Central Catholic and went on to graduate from ISU with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in history. I always imagined I’d teach 3rd or 4th graders, but I was offered a job teaching 7th and 8th grade Social Studies at Holy Trinity Jr. High 23 years ago, and I’ve been here ever since! I added 6th grade to my schedule six years ago. Whenever I tell people I teach junior high, they usually say “Wow, you’re brave!” or “That must really be a challenge.” I always tell them I really enjoy teaching 11-15 year-olds because they are creative, inquisitive, and keep my job interesting and fresh because no two days are ever the same! When I have free time, I enjoy going to the movies, playing with my dog Patches (a Rat Terrier), reading, traveling, and tinkering around on the computer. I also love spending time with my family, especially my adorable nephew and niece, Charlie who is in 5th grade, and Brooke who is 3rd. I hope this school year is an educational and enjoyable one for all my students! |
